The Story of Myto Design Ritual
We are Malili and Christine, two close friends who, as our children grew up and we found ourselves with "empty nests," decided to put our talents to good use. We founded Myto Design Ritual with a shared passion for creating beautiful, meaningful home decor and accessories. Our mission was to generate work for marginalized communities in Colombia while being productive and creative in this new chapter of our lives.
From the outset, we were deeply inspired by the rich heritage of Colombian artisans. We collaborated with skilled craftsmen who work with natural fibers like Iraca palm, aiming to deliver pieces that make you feel connected to the artisans and the countless hours of care that go into each item. Our products, from intricate baskets to elegant candle holders, are designed to bring warmth and joy into your home.
We believe that the decor of a house significantly impacts the mood of those living in it. Surrounding yourself with pieces you love, that have meaning, enhances your environment and makes it a happier place. Our tabletop line is crafted to be a part of the joy of setting a table, creating beautiful spaces that encourage sharing and togetherness with those closest to you.
Despite the challenges of ensuring sustainable production and fair-trade logistics, our dedication to our mission has never wavered. Each handcrafted piece from Myto is a testament to our commitment to preserving valuable skills in a modern, technological era, while creating jobs and careers for future generations.
At Myto, we aim to be a part of your home, contributing to unforgettable moments shared with family and friends. Each artisanal placemat, each handcrafted accessory, carries the spirit of togetherness and adds a touch of warmth to every gathering. With Myto, you're not just purchasing a product; you're connecting with a story of passion, care, and craftsmanship that we hope will bring happiness to your home.
